Mathieu Forget, @Forgetmat, is a world-renowned French artist and creative director, specializing in the art of movement and levitation.

At the age of 18, he moved to the United States through tennis and spent a decade there, during which he discovered dance, photography, and social media. His levitation photographs, authentic and created without any digital manipulation, have accumulated hundreds of millions of views and earned him the nickname “The Flying Man.”

With collaborations including Apple, Paris 2024, Berluti, Gucci, Prada, Porsche, the Plaza Athénée, and Madame Figaro, he exhibited in Paris in 2023 at the Espace Commines in Le Marais, attracting more than 5,000 visitors in just four days. Recognized as part of the Paris 2024 Cultural Olympiad and featured during Nuit Blanche, he embodies a new vision of photography: poetic, multidisciplinary, suspended between art and sport.

“When I dance and photograph myself, it is as much a sporting challenge as it is an artistic performance. During this fleeting half-second of flight, I escape the world around me. I think of nothing, suspended between earth and sky, outside of time.

This is the result of 10 years of research. Ten years of learning to see the world differently, to seek light, to choreograph space. I want to show that levitation is not an illusion: it is a discipline, a philosophy, almost a prayer.

And I want to share this journey with the voices of those who, each in their own way, also know the exhilaration of movement.”
